"An outstanding offering; the splendidly expressed bouquet shows passionfruit, sweet basil, feijoa and kiwifruit aromas, leading to a powerfully intense palate offering awesome fruit purity and persistency. Dazzling and delicious, it's stacked with classic sauvignon flavours. At its best: now to 2024" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2021
"The first release of a new label by wine retailer, Black Market. It commemorates 21 years in business. Tangy wine with sweet-and-sour tension and pineapple, guava, passionfruit and green apple flavours. A punchy wine in a typical Marlborough style" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Oct 2021
The palate is powerful, intense, and dazzlingly delicious, gifting layers of blackcurrant, sea salt, nettle and crushed herb with a whisp of minerality.
Crafted for this special milestone in a vibrant and joyous style, grapes for this wine were specially chosen from parcels of perfectly ripened fruit. The harmonious balance of warm sunny days and cool evenings from Mount Olympus vineyards close to the coast in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley helped form Sauvignon Blanc grapes that burst with flavour, acidity and vibrancy.
Food Pairing: Perfect for immediate drinking on its own or a terrific match with pan fried scallops or Marlborough mussels.
