The Story

"This is instantly appealing on the nose with mango, feijoa, kiwifruit and lime peel aromas, followed by a mouth-watering palate that's filled with succulent fruit flavours backed by bright acidity, finishing long and delectable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2024

This refreshing Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is packed with passionfruit and gooseberry aromas. On the palate is crisp citrus notes with a long-lasting finish.

The Fire Road Sauvignon Blanc vineyards flourish in the hot and dry Marlborough climate. Named after Marlborough’s worst ever fire that burnt 6,000 ha for over three days, threatening the wine town of Blenheim as well as a number of vineyards and wineries. This Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc comprises of root stock that offers deeper rooting structures that are more resilient to drought, perfect for the hot and dry Marlborough climate.

The 2023 grapes were machine harvested and transported to the winery where the fruit were immediately pressed and fermented in cool stainless-steel tanks. The finished wine was blended to create layers of fresh and tropical flavours before being prepared for bottling.
